You are lucky !!

Last year, I got up one morning and went to look out of the front window only to find a fox's face staring up at me from my front fence.

It had somehow managed to jump up, get it's head stuck between to rails, and 'hung' itself !! - It was like something out of the 'Godfather' !!!

It was starting to go rigid and flies were attacking it's eyes so we had to get our next door neighbour to come and help as we got poles to lift it from the fence and lower it into a binbag and my husband drove it off to the tip !!

UUUrrrggghhh !!!!

Sad though - poor thing.

The worst part was the scratch marks it had made on my neighbour's side of the fence where it had obviously struggled to haul itself up to escape !!

We had to sand them dowm quickly and creasote?? over them to get rid of the 'event'

Thanks Janey,

It seems from what you posted to be the northern border region of Mexico which is affected, but, I heed your warning!

Can't go yet anyway as I haven't got a valid passport but when I do, I will check up on it carefully!!

I agree JC cos I called it favouritism the other day.
I dont wanna do lookups on a regular basis it is true, prefer to pick my own times, and I dont want platinum or any other thing from Genes, but how do they pick a person to email is what I wanna know...

Also isnt it what we all do on here anyway without the offer of bribes?

What if they ask someone who aint got a clue on good research (not you Sylvs, you is good)and the people asking for lookups get sent barking up the wrong tree?

Foxes are a menace any where chickens - when I lived near Canterbury - they slaughtered my peacocks - twice - ( killed the replacements too)

I used to hunt - twice a week - so I am a

Real menace to society -
Ciggy - smoking - fox-huntress

I agree

I would'nt expect to be asked anyway, but would'nt it have been a better idea to offer the position then they can choose who they wanted.

Then again they could have chosen the wrong person I surpose?

OR, - wouldn't it have been better to look at the 'talent' they have on here and actually offer 'paid positions' to people that they thought would 'fit the job' ??

There are many people on here who would be an assett to GR and they could try to 'harness' that talent if they wanted to, in order to make the site genuinely more successful!

????

Just a thought!!

We had a niece who was an anti fox hunt sabature (cant spell that) she rented our house when we moved into the pub. I was worried she would go into the loft and find my fox fur jacket and destroy it.
I would never wear it again but it cost me a lot of money so shall never part with it.

I have 2 fur coats also Ja...x - I think Mink, but would have to get them 'out of hiding' to check!!

I can never wear them, like you, but at the time when my husband saved to buy them for me they were very 'precious' so I keep them in a box, hidden away!

I am most def booking flights then Renes.
I hunted for years, the local huntsman used to take me every saturday as a child, with my pony of course, even gave up hockey to go hunting instead. My father was a huntsman in his younger days as well.
He went hunting for half a day last season, not bad at 81,got a pic of him all done up before leaving to get to the meet where his horse was waiting courtesy of a friend.

awwww

I hope Janey didn't really mean that she wasn't speaking to me.

I am also very curious as to why I got asked .............. they noticed I had been a member for at least a year and was working on my own tree???????

Haven't done anything to the tree on here for about 5 years!

One of the questions I asked was whether this meant they would be doing away with Records Office board (or any other board), and making everyone use this weekly clinic.

The answer today was no ... it was an added thing that they thought would help as so many people asked for help

I also asked if the intent was to make it available only to the higher sub people

Today's answer was No ...... it's aimed at Standard subscribers, because they think most of the Standard subscribers are newbie, but they are thinking about extending it to Gold and Platinum

.................. now how do I tell them that most newbies in my experience have fallen for the Gold and Platinum advertising, and it's us oldsters that have Standard??

got to go out soon .... eyetest day

Well, that blackberry and apple crumble went down a treat. It has now been suggested that granddaughter and I make a giant one to serve on Christmas Day! We usually go to my son's where he cooks for about 15 so I think we would have to make about four or five to feed that lot.

Haven't seen AM alias MC today have we? Hope she is okay.
