I wanted relaxing at that time as the job I had was exhausting so wanted a rest, but there were a lot of excursions I would have loved to have gone on.
That'll teach yer Renes messing with that parish stuff lol
If someone is going to offer look ups I wish they would mention they dont have access to 1911. I would have posted the info she wanted on the thread but thought it rude so sent it by pm

Fans
It not a problem - if you can't stand me - you can stay in your house and I stay in mine 400 metres away - we can just see each other from our top terraces - it will be fine
As for smoking - as all the doors and windows are open every day of the year - - front door only closed whilst we sleep - I smoke in the house in the winter evenings - but otherwise am outside
What airport is closest to you
Renes
Will post up some photos of the house

Yeeh Ja...x- Cancun is VERY relaxing !!
We had a luxury suite in a very 'plush' resort - Jaccuzi in the bedroom etc .........
The one thing that my husband was uncomfortable with was the 'size' of the people - I am '5 ft and a bit' so didn't really notice but he is (or was), 6ft 4"m - Most of the hotel staff were Mayan people, about the same size as me - at breakfast time and in the evening, they would insist on carrying everything over to our table for us - He got his 'omelette, or whatever and this 'little girl' would insist on taking it from him and taking it to our table - waiting on him 'hand and foot' - he said that he felt like a paedophile, which he certainly is NOT !!! - He just felt very uncomfortable with these 'little females' serving him !!
Come to think of it, - He doesn't have any difficulty with this 'little female' waiting on him 'hand and foot' .... GGGGGGGGrrrr - Just realised that !!!

Gutted I am- this is the best ever OPC type site - it is incredible - so detailed and all cross referenced - been waiting to look someone up there
I have been to Cancun lots of times - love it
I have enough of being with the "real" people here - I want luxury and 6 stars when I go away - with my own jucuzzi in the room
Used to go in winter to avoid the spring holiday Uni students from USA

I will have to renew my passport in January .... it runs out in June, but we are not allowed to leave the country if your passport has less than 6 months left on it.
JC ................ when you have a passport photo taken now, you have to take off your glasses. So you won't have to dip your had down any more. Oh yes, and you have to look UP at a point about 2 ' above the head of the photographer.
talk about convict!

How long is it since you went to Mexico??
Because, as Janey said ........................... it's bl***y dangerous all over down there now.
I think there is a travel warning out from the Canadian government, although people still go of course.
A Canadian was murdered in Acupulco within the last 2 weeks.
Whole provinces are basically lawless as the drug gangs have taken over.
One small little town, off the tourist track so presumably the type of place you went to, now has a 23 year old police chief, mother of 2 children ....... because no-one else would run for the office. Why? The drug gangs had killed so many police

Well, I would say that a free sub to FMP is a 'little' more tempting ??

OOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhh - I have just realised what all that 'green stuff' with lots of writing in it is !!
I have been ignoring it over the last couple of days but now realise it is the instructions for the TTF board posters.!!
I suppose it is a step forward that should be commended - 'I' ignored it because I am used to the boards and it was 'in the way', but perhaps 'new' people would actually read it ??
'They' do seem to be trying !!

This valley is awash with Quinces - as you know called Membrillo here - and every single household makes " membrillo " to cut and serve with cheese -
I just like it as a jam - takes hours to make - but would feel guilty if I did not make any
Sylvia posted a while ago about making jelly from quinces and freezing it down for later - was interested

Dea, you're not gettin it re Mexico. ;)
http://www.voyage.gc.ca/countries_pays/report_rapport-eng.asp?id=184000 (Government of Canada)
2. WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Mexico level: Exercise high degree of caution Canadians travelling to Mexico should exercise a high degree of caution due to a deteriorating security situation in many parts of the country. While major tourist areas such as the Yucatán Peninsula and Pacific resort areas have not been affected by the extreme levels of violence witnessed in the northern border region, it is highly advisable to travel to Mexico by air (please see our travel warning for the Mexico-United States border). High levels of criminal activity, as well as occasional demonstrations and protests, remain a concern throughout the country.
Mexico-United States Border level: Avoid non-essential travel OFFICIAL WARNING: Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada advises against non-essential travel to the border areas between Mexico and the United States, due to continuously high levels of violence linked to drug trafficking in those areas.
Canadians should avoid crossing Mexico’s northern border by land, as shootouts, attacks, and illegal roadblocks may occur at any time. Criminals especially target SUVs and full-size pickup trucks for theft and carjacking along highways of the states of Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Baja California, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Sonora, and Sinaloa. Travellers are advised to reconsider their need to travel by land to or through these border states and should do so only if it is absolutely necessary, and after making appropriate arrangements to ensure their personal safety.
And there's more about organized crime, crime, theft, assault, sexual assault, kidnappings, etc.
Mexico outside major resorts is not anywhere that anyone with any sense would go now! I've never seen the point of resorts, myself. ;)

I get foxes in my garden, it is a shock to see them come out of nowhere when you are not expecting it.
I was feeding them with leftovers but after that twin case thought it was not a good idea

Cardiff is my closest Airport, then Bristol, but its no prob,we can go to any airport really and just leave the car in the airport car park. I am gonna speak to Bezzie tomorrow and then can give a date maybe.
My God-daughter and her older half sister went to Mehico a couple of months or so back,on that drugs trial thing for Diah...nope still cant spell it,The Trots.. A weeks holiday they got for it,plus spends. God-daughter was given Placebo,Older Half sister got the real thing,no effects on em.
What I want to know is did they give em the trots on purpose to see if the trots drug worked? Keep forgetting to ask.
They had a great time they said..
Foxes are vermin and full of fleas and worms and a lot have mange, cute to look at and very pretty in good nick, but devastating what they can do in a few minutes amongst poultry. I wouldnt mind if they just nicked one and fled, but they kill all ,or wound them and dont eat them.
Must stay off this subject as it can get heated...

Well, Sylvia, I think I'm officially not speaking to you, actually.
I may also just inform the management that they can take their favouritism and free deals and shove 'em, and I'll find somewhere else to play.
Seriously on that one.
