Oh, and "brighsolid" is what we call them here. It's rude, but they don't get it.

C'mon, Drucilla Bohemia? How many people get a name like that?? It's just ... enchanging.

Oh yes, and BFF. You just don't know your youthful idiom, do you?

I believe Paris Hilton and some other srawny bottle-blonde were among the first to popularize it, although they subsequently became mortal enemies or something.

Best Friend Forever! ... I think.

Yes, and "srawny" is a Newfoundland word.

They've stopped showing the dro-down when one edits. Maybe they really are reading my thread!

Enchange/d......Well its not on GOOGLE !

No they havent,I just clicked it off,it was driving me nuts.
Unless they did it in the last half hour of course.
And I know they are reading your thread,I just know it cos things change too easily to what is discussed on it..
Prob read all this c''p as well.

What isn't? Dro-down?

I'm having keyboarding problems. Long delays when I type. Even more when I mouse. I do believe the gazillions of tabs I have open are calling for me to do a reboot.

They have so. Clicking it off isn't permanent, is it??

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 9 Nov 2010 22:42

Oooh, you're right. I just went to add topic on TTF, and no drop-down.

Don't like that.

But then, the people who need it most probably have no idea how to click it off, so that works.

I am not sure when it was unplugged.

I am cooking stuff that was still cold but had to thrw stuff that may have been contaminated due to damaged packaging and some ready meals for the kids. It could have been worse but it means I have some space for Christmas.

Hi all

seems I am healthy!

no change to medications, except to take 2 Vit D tablets a day instead of one

Almost forgot about flu shot .... but she remembered in time

tomorrow I go for my eye test ...... came home to a reminder courtesy call re that. Plus "do bring sunglasses as you will need them"

It's bloomin' pouring with rain today, about 5 or 6C , and she said "bring sunglasses"??????

Sounds like they intend to put drops in your eyes to make the pupils bigger to get a better view inside. It is normal for the pupil to constrict in bright sunlight to protect from glare but the drops will temporarily prevent this. Quite routine.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 10 Nov 2010 03:31

LK

I know they do that

........ I've had it done every time I've had my eyes tested since I was about 5 when I first started wearing glasses

so I was expecting drops .............. was even wondering whether I could see clearly enough to cross the major road up to the local coffee shop afterwards, or whether I would have to depend on either the tone that announces the Walk sign, or other people moving!

but I don't think I've ever received the advance warning before

as it happens, the forecast for tomorrow is for cloudy with sunny periods, a break between pouring rain today and again on Thursday!
