Its Osteopath - actually ended up going to London School of Osteopathy - after I was eventually straightened -- - who told me I had one leg shorter than the other

And they said put a piece of orthopedic lint in my shoe - the short leg !!!!!!!!!! - thought it was a load of sh¿te - but did it anyway

Had had a problem with my back for years -------------

The lint cured it --------------

Thats why I was an accountant and they are osteopaths

I'm here and thanks for all your concern, I really appreciate it. The visit went well I think and the nurse seemed pleased with him. She is going to speak to the specialist re the possibility of a slight increase in the meds to boost him a little but it is not essential.


We have a lot to be thankful for really. He had a heart attack when he was 48 followed by a quadruple bypass at 50 and I was told that if he hadn't had the op he would have only lasted 6 weeks. I was 38 at the time (10 years age difference for those can't work it out!)


So, from almost being a widow at 38, we have made it through to over 42 years of marriage........could do without the Parkinson's though. He will be 74 in November but doesn't look it.


I feel a bit wrung out as I always find hospital appointments stressful. I think this is one reason I do voluntary work at our local hospital - to try and put other folks at ease a bit.


Just settling down and then daughter phones with a medical prob......arrrgghhh.


Honest injun, I never, ever, ever wanted to be a nurse and what do I get.....? A mother with MS whom I care for for over 15 years. A husband with heart probs and now Parky's and a daughter with Asperger's. Good job I have a sense of humour!!


I actually wanted to be a midwife but my parents thought it 'wasn't quaite naice'. I also love drama and when I was about 12, someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up...."An actress" I replied. My father looked as though he had been shot.......it was as though I said I had wanted to go on the streets or something!!! lol

I have just watched the 2nd part of
Snowdonia 1890
2 families go back in time to live the life of smallholders and Slate Quarry men.
Do the makers of these programs deliberately pick people that have not a clue about animals or even any commonsense?
They cant milk a cow properly,they left it without water so its blareing for it(blareing is mooing very loudly and continuously)no hay in its manger (Its early spring and no grass through yet)and its escaping to be with the next door cow that is at least having some semblance of being looked after properly..
Never seen em feed or clean out the pigs yet and the chickens are being treated like pets,wait until they need to kill one for food..!
The sheep are escaping all the time as they are not checking their fences or gates everyday.
The kids are not made to do jobs on the smallholding as they would have had to from a very early age and the teenage boys are a disgrace.
19/18/17/13 and never turn their hand to more than throwing stones and playing around.
The girls dont seem to have to help at all in the house or even feed the chickens,which they would have had to do..
I dont think I had better watch any more episodes or I will be having to write and complain about it and my BP is going through the roof...
Utter nonsense.
If they want to portray life in that area as it was back then at least get some families in that can make a good go of it.!

I bought a whole body one for over £1000 a few years ago - I will go and compare the bulbs!!

I must admit, I got a bit 'fed up' of lying under it, along with 2 baths per day - I didn't have time for anything else.
