Thomas Binfield was born in Hale, Farnham Surrey in 1880. He was the husband of Louisa Heard. He was killed in the first world war on 22/06/1917. He was a sergeant in the Royal West Surrey Regiment and is buried in the Dickebush New Military Cemetary, Belguim. At the time of his death Thomas and Louisa were living at White City Cottage, Upper Hale, Farnham.
Elizabeth Ellis, born 1861, was an elder sister of my grandmother Sarah Ellis born in 1876 at Aldershot.

Eddieisagrandad Report 29 Jun 2010 15:28

I need help finding information on my great grandmother Louisa Charlotte Heard b.c. 1879.
The only census reference I can find is 1911 where she is with her husband Thomas Binfield (1878-1917) in Aldershot. Her place of birth is given as "dont no" (sic)
On her marriage cert, dated 21st December 1901 her father is given as William Stewart Heard. This chap was married to Liz Ellis, Elham (Kent) 1880 so the birth date of 1879 or thereabouts is possible. I cannot however find a mention of Louisa in the birth records 1881 or 1891 census returns. Her father was a military man (4th Hussars) and all of Louisa's siblings were born in different garrison towns making the search even more complicated.
I believe Louisa ( now Mrs Taylor) died in Hackbridge 1964.
Any suggestions or idea gratefully recieved.
