Hi
Have looked but cannot find......

Daniel Eyre b. 1817 Grt. Gonerby Nottinghamshire
wife Sarah b. c1824 don't know where (father Robert)
they were married 30.4.1843 Marylebone Middlesex
Sarah died 1852 Buckley St Manchester

Daniel sailed to Australia 1855

so 1851 is only one together

much appreciated
Colleen (Australia)

according to a Public Family Tree on ancestry, Sarah's surname was Izzard, and she was born ca 1820

that tree also says Daniel was born Gt Gonerby LINCOLNSHIRE

I cannot see them at all!

That tree on ancestry listed two children ..... but didn't have christian names for either of them

One was born in 1845, and one in 1848, both in Middlesex, and both apparently died in 1855

I'm thinking that if we could use the children's names to find Daniel and/or Sarah on that census

Do you think this is possible??

I'm not blind after all.
The family story is that Daniel lost his wife and 2/3 children in England and came to Australia in 1855 to get over his grief and begin a new life.
He married again and thus began our Australian line.
I was just curious to find a bit more about his English family

Cheers

There was a large part of the 1851 Census in the Manchester area that was damaged

I once maanged to find my gt gt grandfather on there with the help of womeone on here.

Last year, I discovered that the site I used had changed, but I did find the new one.

Now if I can only find it again

I'm googling "1851 Census", or "1851 Manchester Census" or "1851 damaged census"

any more suggestions??????

try this for the damaged 1851 census

www.1851-unfilmed.org.uk/intro.htm

I think you might have to pay to see it in detail, but might be able to at least find their names
