Sydney and Arthur were my great grandfathers brothers, who we never knew about until I discovered them! So, any help on finding any marriages for them or if they had children etc would be a great help. I have tried looking on the freeBMD site and have had no joy with either of them. Would be great to try and find some lost relatives out there! |

When and where were they born? What censuses have you found them on? |

Have you checked freebmd to see if they had more than one forename? |

Shona, I'm very much afraid you are going to have great difficulty in finding likely marriages for them a there are lots of Sydney and Arthur Batchelor marriages. |

No fathers name for ANY of the children. My great grandmother has been such an odd ball. all three children have her name, so no way of tracing father. I have a feeling that Arthur and Syndey MAY have the same father so will have to purchase birth certs for them. My fathers side of the family are proving to be a very difficult bunch. |

flick, she was always single. in 1901 i found her in london, single, working in a hotel, by the end of that year she had moved back to norfolk and had my grt grandfather, one can only assume what happened there. |

IF the 1905 birth is your relation - and IF his first name was with an 'I' rather than with a 'Y' - this MAY be a possible death record |

Ah, thank you. I wondered if perhaps the Y was meant to be an I, so anything is possible right now. Although I was hopefull that it being a Y would mean he may be easier to find - maybe not! |

Don't get too excited Shona, this could be the Sidney J born 1908 in Hemel Hempstead. |
