So on Stanleys birth certificate it states May White formally Jones. Stanley didn't have any other names..Did he? You did mean 1915.
Where does it say on the certificate he was born?

Hi Vera & Margaret,
May Huges “This was in the column parents names, Christian names, the next column was surnames where White was entered. Huges was entered as a second Christian name for May, I have come across this several times where a child was given the surname of the mother as second Christian name [is is very helpful]
On the birth certificate it gives mother May White formerly Jones.
I was never told of any other children, I have asked & no one in the family has heard of any other children,
apart from Stanley, who was properly born c1815.

That was the query, because on her marriage certificate she is a spinster... so on the baptism certificate it should show Jones....but apparently it states May Hughes/Huges

The query I have....is why Arthur and Mays daughter on her baptism certificate it states her mothers name was May Hughes.....when it was May Jones....

On her marriage in 1917 May was a spinster so I don’t think that is her,
I don’t know how old Stanley was when she went back to Wales? But an elderly aunt thought ?he may have been about 2 years old? when she married ,

Yes that is her marriage you found, when May went back to Wales she took her son Stanley who was born before she married I don’t know where or when he was born,
May & Arthur had a daughter on her baptism record under “parents names, Christian names May Huges” is written so is it possible that Huges was her mothers maiden name??

Please can some one look for May Jones in 1901 census, she was born about 1897 the daughter of John Jones a plate layer. May was married in 1917 on the Isle of Wight, her husband died & she went back to Wales, This is all I know of her
I see from the Anc----- index there are some May Jones with father in Carmarthenshire Wales & Glamorgan, Wales,
Please can anyone find her.
