Its deffo O'Brien (I have my grandfathers original birth cert) and on her marriage cert it says O'Brien too (also her father Ned O'Brien)

I did see this one last night, but didn't have time to post it before I lost my internet connection. Her age is out by a couple of years and there is a birth reg. for a Matilda Harriet Brien Sept. 1888......but she has an older sister Catherine (although her age is out by a good few years) and they are living in the same parish that Kate O'Brien married in.

I do have Katie O'Brien on my tree but unsure if she belongs to Matilda lol but seeing Edward there makes me wonder! Although my Katie was born 1886c unless I have my info wrong (this isnt unusual!!) lol

Hi,

My Great Grandmothers marriage cert says, her father was Ned O'Brien (Deceased) my Great Grandmother was Matilda O'Brien, now my mum always said she came from Ireland, but I actually found a census with her on and it said she was born in Holborn London in 1887c, she married a John H Dearan and had 12/13 children! (one of them obviously my Grandmother Marjorie Dearan), now I'm strugging with the O'Briens! I know Irelands Records were not kept like England but I cannot find Matilda's birth OR her father. Surely if his name was Edward (seen this a few times Ned is Edward!) then that is what should have been put on their Marriage Cert?? I dont know! lol Help greatfully recieved :o)

P.S Matilda O'Brien b1887c was born in London Fulham & John Dearan b1887c was born in Co Kildare Ireland
