Thanks Ozi. Yes many Birds in the area. Could be any one of them. I guess I need to look into the parish records so I can find a son James of Joseph. Would love to know who the wife of Joseph was as well. I have traced back to James and have a name Joseph on James marriage cert. It says father Joseph, labourer. Nothing else to go on. |

Hi Vera this could possibly be the Joseph I want as it seems to fit in the area where they all were but he would have only been 15 when he married Sarah but she was 21 so it could have been permitted. How would I confirm this? |

Hi Sylvia. I am only going on a marriage record that shows Joseph (labourer) as Jame's father but I have no other info on him. Joseph must have been born around 1800 or earlier as James, his son was born in 1819. Saffron Walden is in the UK, Essex. I don't know what County Littlebury is in. I will try to find out. |

Can anyone look up a record of Joseph Bird, possibly from Saffron Waldon area. His son was James Bird born in Littlebury 1819. I don't have a birth date for Joseph or his wife's name. I would be eternally grateful if someone can fill this gap in my ancestry. |
