Hi Vera,

That is the family in 1901, thanks very much for that information. I have been trying to solve this riddle for ages too. James Vickers changed his name to James Billington which was his Mother's maiden name.

Yes James Vickens was in fact James Billington, you have solved a family mystery for me. James is my Grandfather I was told he should have had the surname Vickers too not Vickens. I have been looking for family for ages.

Hi Can anyone please do a 1911 lookup for James Billington born c1889 in Preston, Lancashire, UK.

I know he married in 1912 and before marriage lived at 3 Hunt Street, Preston.

He possibly lived with his Mother Margaret and brother William.

Any help in finding Jamaes w ould be greatly appreciated.
