I have found some more information, If anyone is please able to help

Ronald Jones, was an Assistant Steward in the Merchant Navy he lived 49 Mysore Road, Battersea at the time of the marriage, he was 23 at the time of the wedding, the wedding took place at Battersea Register Office.

His father was George William Jones and his occupation at the time of the marriage was Joiner (woodwork).

I have a copy of the Certificate of making decree noisi absolute (divorce) but it is really hard to read i wonder if anyone is able to tell me if it is possible to get another copy of the papers? and where i would go to do that.

If anyone is able to help that would be much appreciated

Many thanks

Maybe Merchant Navy records could be searched for clues to location.
I have seen record cards in Southampton archives, but can't remember which dates are covered.
Ships sailed on were listed and on the back of each card was a photograph.

Maybe there are websites where ex Merchant seamen can post about other crew members? A message there might bring information.

Do you have Ronalds occupation and address at time of marriage.

Would there be any clues on divorce papers i.e adultery or desertion etc.

George William Jones the joiner seems elusive aswell.

I have been trying to pinpoint a marriage for him but no luck.

I have tried to find him in phone books around the area, again nothing.

Don't give up though.

Hi,

Kim birthday certificate states place of birth as 12 the downs, Wimbledon, her father was Ronald Jones, and her mum, Joan Jones, Formerly Graham, of 95 altenburg Gardens, Battersea, Fathers Occupation was Steward (Mercahnt Navy) the birth was registered onthe 1st May 1956.

Sorry i was unable to reply earlier, i had to dash off as i was at work.

Does anyone know of where i might be able to find out if Ronald Died. One story my mum was told by her mum was that he eloped to Australia taking her half brother with him, we have since found her half brother, but he had a different father to my mum, so we know that story is not true. another story is that Ronald died in a car crash, just after my mum was born which we know is not true otherwise they would not require divorce.

We do not know whether he died, it is possible that he is still alive my Nan, Joan died 13th April 2008,

If anyone is please able to shead some light, or give me any hints on where i might find further information that would be great.

Many thanks

My mum knows nothing about Ronald him and my nan divorced in 1958, my mum never know him, my nan never said mum about him, and had my mum believe that he had died.

We can't find Kym as it is spelt Kim.

I have found it but i won't put details on here.
If it is correct one her mum was nee Graham.

Same as the marriage posted previously.

Did you get your birth info for Kym from a tree search on here?

Or did you manage to find the birth reg'n?

Two other GR members have KYM in their trees - try contacting one, or both, of them.
