Sorry, sorry, have had to get an idiots guide to help me get this far.! I am very grateful for all your help.
David Rowland married on 1st Dec1926 at St Marys church, Paddington.
He was 25, a batchelor of independent means. He married Winifred Cross,spinster who was 23. His address was 156 Church street.
His father s name was Daniel Frederick Davis, a manager, but deceased.
The witness's were Kathleen L? Cross and Kate Nicholls. David signed his name Rowland, but on his childrens birth certificates hes David Rouland Davis.I don't know where he was born. Daniel F. was rumoured to have married a french singer/actress, who when Daniel died was supposed to have married either a Lambert or Butler from the cigarette manfacturers and lived near Lt. Thurlow tilll she died around the 1940's
Don't know her christian name. David is beleived to have had a brother Albert? who was a Chief Petty Officer in the Royal Navy during the 2nd world war. Hi Anne do you know roughly when Daniel died and where did the French lady live,rumours start somewhere.
Where did she die?

I have been trying to find out the names of lambert and butler,nothing jumping out as yet.

I only know from the marriage certificate that he had died, so I guess it must have been between when David R. was born (1901) and 1926 I have been looking from about 1915 to 1926. Have no idea where the french lady came from, I think she may have died when she was living near Lt. Thurlow, Suffolk. Family still say that they were told she was french and either was a actress or singer.

The name Rowland Davis was on his marriage certificate, and David Rouland Davis on his childrens birth certificates,spelt as shown.
