SO, they weren't 'telling porkies'! - Father was a Tailor.

I had thought of cousins, as you suggested, but that would have to mean their father's were brothers and it is unlikely
that 2 brothers would have the same name - Henry.

Anyway - this now shows that they were, in fact, sisters!

yeah, I looked at that 1881 census, that's why the first census caught my eye ...... plus it was the only Georginna showing!


and the district is Liskeard, which fits in with Louisa's birthplace on the 1891 census that I found

Well, I couldn't leave poor 'Garzina' with a name like that could I ?

I found the witnesses on 1881 - Charles + 'Georgina' living at the same address which was on the wedding cert - now confirmed as 17 LatchMERE Road.

Charles was a Marine Lanscape Painter. - he married Georgina in 1873.(and she couldn't spell her name correctly then either Tee hee!)

Georgina was Louisa's sister!

Sorry I was not sure if they would show or not.

I have not been able to find a marriage between Wilfred and Louisa, I think they may have just resided togther and said that they were married. There were no other children to this union.

Wilfred was a Painter so the records seem to be the correct one for the 1881 census. I believe Wifred was born in 1858 in Bath to a William Oaten and an Eliza Harris, although I have not yet checked this myself.

Would anyone with Ancestry access please be kind enough to have a look at the following birth entry and advise who the parents are shown as:

Jane Winifred Oaten March 1882, District of Marylebone, Volume 1A page 582.

I believe her parents to be Wilfred Oaten and Louisa Dennis, but I am not sure if this is what will be shown.
