Hello everyone,

Trying to find the birth family of Sarah Shepard born c1826 in Nottinghamshire, UK

She married Joseph Tacey in about 1840 and had several children: Joseph c1840, John 1844, William 1844-1856, Henry 1845 - 1877, James 1848-1848, Mary 1850, Harriet 1852-1852, Harriet 1854-1886, Emma 1857, William 1859, & Samuel 1860-1863. All of whom were born in Carlton, Nottinghamshire.

Find her marriage reg'n on freebmd - purchase the cert, which will include her father's name - if she knew it

Was she really only 13 when she married?

there is another baptism of sarah to john and harriett but not till 1832 at gedling so more than likely the first one
i presume you dont have the marriage certificate and if you can wait a few weeks im off to notts and i will check the certificate
there are more siblings if this is right

Sounds like the Joseph & Mary one, Sharon, since they're living next door but one to them in 1841 with what looks like Sarah's brother in between.

sarah did have a brother richard and 5 other siblings i have baptisms and possible marriage of her parents if you want them or i will understand if you want to wait till i have checked the marriage

witness joseph shepherd and esther, her surname looked like snell
