Sorry Yvonne, didn't mean to take over your thread talking about cakes--it's my sons 30th on Sunday --so having a party for him--he just used to love "Thomas the tank engine" when he was a child. so thought I would make him a Thomas cake !!

You really need the marriage certificate if Catherine is the one you KNOW to be correct for you

Cannot see a Catherine born around 1880 with father Martin (except in Derbyshire).

In your 1st post you said you were looking for Martin Duffy born 1876, if so, he couldn't have had a daughter born 1880.

dont think so as the catherine(martins daughter)was born 1880 not 1899 she married hugh mc mann 1911

im not quite sure if i have the right martin duffy,as i have another one with a daughter catherine 1880(who im am trying to trace who married a hugh mc mann) his wife was mary , but both martins other children with same names (if that makes sence)
