I have the long awaited Marriage certificate that has taken 5 weeks to come
and it has given the address as
In Marylebone

Thats it!!
anyone else had this and why isnt the address there?

KathleenBell Report 29 Apr 2010 18:14

I've seen similar on early certificates when the address is a small village. I suppose it depends on what date the marriage certificate was from as Marylebone may have been quite a small place at the time if it was in the early days of registration.

Sometimes detail included was probably down to the individual vicar.
I've got one as late as 1931 that just shows Reading for the groom's address.
