I dont think that 1881 can be right as both Samuel and Mary Ellen are shown as unmarried and therfore brother and sister rther than husband and wife

I am trying to find my great Granny Mary - born 1856, she married Samual Ackerley in 1872, last heard of on the 1881 censors, on the 1891 censors Samual was with someone else. I cannot find Mary at all, can anyone help please?
