You're welcome! I was off poking around looking for various combos of names, but nothing firm sprang off the page. If you make any headway, just post back here! |

Janey This death looks very possible. In 1911 census I have Robert age 28 and single living with the Step Mother Ada Aubrey they are in Chorleton. I dont think if Roberts birth mother was alive he would still be living with the step mother |

For the children, I might actually think this one more likely: |

Oops - what I was getting at there with the 1901 was to see whether there were any children born to Robert and Sarah after 1891 that could help date her death. |

Your original question was about Sarah's death. Did you search at FreeBMD? |

If Robert was born in USA, perhaps they married there. |

For births for given name "Charles R", JunQ1885 to JunQ1886 (I searched the whole of both years) there are three births: Owens, Bedford and King. |

There's no Charles Aubrey birth in that period, so I suspect the parents weren't married and the birth was registered in the mother's surname. |

It would be wise to get one of the children's birth certificates to learn Sarah's surname. The 1891 shows Charles R Aubrey as 5 years old, born in Liverpool, so I'd look for his birth at FreeBMD and order that certificate. |

I WOULD BE GRATEFUL FOR SOME HELP TRACING: A marriage for Robert Aubrey 1862 born USA and his spouse Sarah H Aubrey born 1870 Liverpool. Between 1881 and 1891. I have found them in 1891 in Poulton with the children Charles and James. Then Robert marries Ada or Ida, I would like to know what happened to Sarah. Did she die? Any help would be great thanks Eileen |
