Find Ancestors

I am trying to trace a Robert Charles Carr and I believe he was born in Portsmouth. He was the father of my g grandfather, also a Robert Carr born 1886. I do not have many details of the senior Robert, although I know he was a tailor (possibly RN) in 1908, the year his son, the junior Robert married Alice Welch.

have you looked for them on any census. The sons birth cert will name both parants then you can look for their marriage
