please please can anyone help me, im pulling my hair out at the moment, trying to find my great great grandad william saville, born 1873. now i thought i had found him married to a nancy?? dont know year or maiden name, they had 3 children one being my great grandad ernest. ...williams mother was mary ann, father john. now someone has said they have a william , same born year, same parents names, but different wife(florence llma walton) and different children. i am so confused can anyone help, or have i just confused you too. stacey x

they were all from bradford areas, william had sisters emma,mary,brothers george arthur. the william who married florence had kids joyce and john, so cant be him, as my william had to have my great grandad ernest. but yet both will"S have same parents names. it baffling me. maybe he married a nancy as well as flo.??? x

You haven't hit a brick wall, getting some certs will sort this out.

How do you know Ernest was Harry's father and the year he was born, is it from family?

I don't see a marriage for Ernest to a Walsh which is the mmn for Harry, only this marriage in the area, unless Elsie Hill had been married before.

i recieved the info about my grandad from a family member who gave me a picture of his father ernest and elizabeth walsh, think they married around 1920, she died in 1930 then ernest married again, think to a mrs woods. then ive gone from there to find ernest father to be william, but there were too many williams born in bradford at that time. need to find the william who married a nancy, dont know what year, probly around 1910. thanks for your help x

You need some certificates to make sure you are tracing the correct family.

well iknow i have the correct grandad harry, and his father ernest, probably got his birth date somewhere on here. being doing this for about a year, so think that info is correct, i have got elizabeth walsh, born in 1898, they had their children from1925, i heard they married around 1920. now carrying on i got william saville, i have paper cencus, which shows the address and who lived in the house hold. it says william saville head, nancy wife, then children albert,harry,ernest. so i pressume this is the correct william. only nobody can find this will married to a nancy. this is so hard. x

Do you have access to the 1911 census because the family I found on the free search William and Nancy were born 1858.

I only have access to 1881 at the moment so can't look for Ernest in 1901.
