Hi
I wonder if anyone might be able to help me? I am trying to find out some information on Joseph Hayes (c1861). He was my great great grandfather. However I believe another Joseph Hayes was born in the same year and in the same place (Golborne, Lancashire). I am trying to ascertain if the Joseph that married Jane Farrington in 1886 is that of my ancestor. From what I can gather Jane Farrington and Joseph were together in the 1891 census with children Frances and William. However in the 1901 census Jane was with Richard Arkwright with Frances but not William, while a Joseph on the other hand was married to Margaret Ann and had their own children. I can't locate my Joseph in any of the census previous to this, there is a Joseph Hayes listed in 1871 and 1881 (parents Jane and James). I know (from a marriage cert) that my Joseph's father was Joseph Hayes.
Many Thanks
Angela
