If you look at the 1861 I posted above, it seems not

As already advised - look for a marriage on freebmd, and take into account where the children were born.

OR - buy that child's birth cert as per details given to you

The ball is in your court now on that.

Who was Harriet? Was she your actual relation?

hi i`m trying to find a marrage in-northampton?? or canterbury?? for (jame`s brown-born1817-northampton)--(he was a mine labourer)- he married elenor ??,she was born in 1810- canterbury) i think by 1843 they moved to birmingham, i do hope some one can help me kind regards val x
