The easiest way to get the marriage cert of Thomas and Gertude is to order it online from the General Record Office http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/

It will cost £7 and arrive in about a week. Everything apart from the father's name (William instead of Fred) ties very well with the family Vera found in 1901 and 1911with the right siblings names, wife's name and they were living in the right place

Good luck with this and all the children

Kayx

ps - if it does turn out the right family in 1901 and 1911 I would think this could be their marriage

Marcia Report 28 Feb 2010 14:57

vera i think this all ties in because i have all these names in my information somewhere! just got to get it all straightened out! my auntie has just rung me and she is helping me with some of it by asking the rest of my family! so just writing down as much as i can, and when i get it in the right order il put it in my tree! thanks vera your being really helpful. yeh got a 3 months old and 3 other children, doing this for them really so they know their roots, not that they would be interested at the moment! i presume i ring crickhowell reg office for the marriage certificate and i would be allowed it as their great grandaughter?x

Marcia

If you haven't already got it you really need the marriage cert of Thomas Bailey and Gertrude James. It should give his age and father's occupation, which would help in narrowing the search . I can't see an obvious match for the family at the moment

It has been driving me mad for a while now. There are other Thomas Benjamin Baileys born outside Wales but not looks very hopeful
