The family is wrongly transcribed as Henner in 1891 when theyare living at LSB (London School Board) Lodge Malmesbury Road Bow
Arthur A 46 Caretaker LSB b Rotherhithe
Sarah E 43 b St George East
Charles 12 b Mile End
James 5 b Bow
Martha 3 b Bow
Henry J 7 mths b Bow

But I cant find any of them 1901 -possibly Arthur has died and Sarah married again and they ae under the stepfathers name

Have you tried the 1911 census? to see if she is still single at that stage -there is a marriage in Hackney in 1911 after the census for a Daisy Skinner but maybe some kind soul with full acces to 1911 could establish if she is there and still single

If you do a free bmd search for possible marriages you can then decide whether to pay out for a certificate for a marriage to search for her name at death and any family. Hackney 1911 as mentioned by Gillian, but others also.
There is not an obvious death of a Daisy Skinner between 1940 and 1950 (implying that she did marry) - how sure are you of these dates?

I don't know why I had this mental note I think one late night at 3 in morn I found some ref but now can't find it, thought it odd that she was around in 2nd war and family had no contact, might just have been me working out the dates and presumed she was still around. So tried looking for her yesterday, but she could have died before she married, silly it never occured to me, got excited that maybe she had kids and they would be alive and I could make contact. Thanks guys for all your help, sorry I can't be clearer. So wanted to find her as my nan,and daughter are named after her. Sadly can't ask nan.

Hey, dont give up so easily Beatrice -given that she was living Hackney in March 1911 for the census the 1911 marriage is a good bet and will only cost you £7 from GRO online if you quote these details

Daisy Skinner m 1911 Dec Q Hackney 1b 1045

(The possible bridegrooms are Edwin J Abbott or John W Johnson)

The cert will show her fathers name and occupation to allow you to confirm whether or not it is your Daisy and she may even stillbe living at the address given in 1911 census
If it is your Daisy and you come back to this thread with the bridegrooms name we can search for children

JaneyCanuck Report 29 Mar 2010 18:54

The marriage of Daisy Skinner in 1911 was Daisy's sister Emma?

Not understanding that one, I'm afraid.

I did read this thread when it was being worked on, but had nothing to add, so just watched.

New thread, same topic:

How about:

SKINNER Daisy dob1892 1920 London Australia Melbourne

There doesn't seem to have been anyone else named Skinner travelling with her.

You need to buy the marriage cert to check if it is indeed your Daisy.
