Lynn, apologies- my mistake re James' death. Have removed the message so as not to confuse anyone further!

On the original image for Esther on the 1911 she says that she has been married for three years and had one child which has died. Could the pregnancy be the reason they married and after the death of the child they separated. There are a multitude of reasons as to how and why they ended up apart but did they ever divorce?

It was Mauds mother who remarried.
Maud didn't remarry she died when she was 71 yrs and had been still living with her husband??? James Richardson Moore.
They had four children all with the surname Moore and the mothers name was also Moore on the birth certificates.

I can't see a likely death between 1911 and 1917 for Esther Moore/ Blakelock.....

it seems unlikely that Maud and James were ever married. Many people lied on their children's birth certificates to appear married- so perhaps this is the case here.

It must be very frustrating!

James Richarsdson Moore did marry Ester Jane Blakelock but we don't know what happened to her.

We are on the understanding that James and Maud did marry, unfortunately we are unable to find this.
I am not sure where else I can look now

Yes this is my Maud her mother remarried into the Burdon Family.
As far as we knew James and Maud where married.
James was Mauds first husband

Anybody have any information about my grand father I would be truly grateful
He was born in Stockton Co Durham June 1/4 1888
He died Sept 1/4 1975 in Chester/EP
He was a plater on the ship yards
I am looking at the relationship he had with my grand mother Maud Carney. They had 3 sons and a daughter together

I would be grateful of any information
