I don't have the marriage certificate, my research has been solely from information from my parents. They have always said, "There was a mistake with the surname on the marriage certificate for Fred & Matlida" |

Kim you need to get the marriage cert to get his age and fathers name and occupation or everything is speculation. It will also help you to go further back and find relatives on the 1911 census |

I don't know Fredericks father, all I knew of him was his name and guessed his age. I've not seen any certificates and both my nan and dad have died. |

Thanks Tania, I never knew my nans mothers maiden name. I think frederick died in England but as I said my dad has no idea what happen to him. |

According to her message on another thread the family could have been Romanies. Which means they could have been born anywhere in the country and even married extremely young. I will wait for the OP to come back with some more information and then you can feel free to cyber slap me Ginny if you are right! |
