Hi, I'm quite new on here so please excuse my lack of expertise with this site and genealogy generally. My father was one of six siblings but I can only find 4 in the birth registers. His parents were married in 1904 and the oldest two children born in 1905 and 1907. The youngest two were born in 1920 and 1922 (the latter was my dad) but the above two siblings both seem to be missing. The family lived in West Ham for the whole period, which is where the others were born. Mother's maiden name was Smith. I only found one "Mary Birch" born in West Ham in Ap-Jun 1912 but it says mother's name Birch. Do you think this could be a clerical error or is it unlikely to be her? And there are no potential Helen Birchs that I could see. |
