Ethel Richardson was born c1893 in England (maybe London). She married Alexander Findlay in the UK and they had two daughters, Margaret (Betty) c1917 ?? and Joan Alexander born 8/5/1920 Maynard Road Walthamstow, County of Essex, London. |

Sylvia - I think the "private" baptism means it was probably done at the child's house - maybe she was poorly. If so, then normally, when she got better, she'ld be presented in church. She couldn't be baptized again, as you can only be baptized the once. The Book of Common Prayer even has a conditional baptism service (although I forget exactly how they call it) which will only take effect if the child wasn't baptized properly beforehand. |
