Would someone be kind enough to see if they can find a date of death for REBECCA NOWLAN bn 1859/60 Poplar London E14.
She was my G/Gran mother and married to a EDGAR GEORGE WALKER (1857-1903). I have date of marriage as 22/07/1877 at St. Thomas Stepney London E14, Though thats not confirmed, not sure were that came from???. Her first child was Rebecca(1879) and last found being Grace (1890) no sign of the mother on 1891 census??

so you dont actually want a death date for Rebecca Nowland, more Rebecca walker.

Thanks for the info - Thats the right family, seems George or Edgar, used his first or second name when ever it suited him???
I have looked for her death under Nowlan, Nowland & Walker all to no avail???

Well spotted!!!, you could be right, maybe she did leave him around 1890, so not appearing on 1891 census, and remarried 1905???.
That would explain no death date for a Rebecca Walker???

Thanks for your last couple of replies, Edgar/George was found to have been listed as both a Locomotive engine driver and a Steam tug driver in different census'??...
Joy thanks for looking at 1911 census-you have certainly found something interesting as that fits well, At first I thought the Rebecca who had married Rbt. Alf. Smith might have been the eldest daughter Rebecca who would have been born 1879 (my g/fathers sister). Who I never knew???

Thanks for the new marriage possibilities for daughter, they are worth checking??. My g/father had abt. 5 sisters none have I yet got round to looking into. I dont remember any of them as a child. My g/father was the only male in a female household.
I am today going to a funeral today for one of my cousins, so might get chance to ask a few quetions???.
