I have 1891 census record for James Fretwell and wife Annie,living in Eckington Derbys,
James coming from Eastwood Notts born approx 1853,

On his wedding cert his father is John Fretwell.

Please can anyone find him anywhere else,or give an alternative for the name Eastwood.

I have a horrible feeling that I have been researching the wrong family before him.

No idea of the occuption of his father

Thanks ladies,I had seen that one,but doubt the right one,they are all flippin miners, that is one reason it is so hard to find the right one.

That birth record looks promising,will order that.

The Basford alternative name will help me thanks.

After a nights sleep, I now think that I may have the right family, but the wrong marriage cert, which is a relief, dosn't take so much effort to change.

I have sent for the birth cert and will take it from there,.

Why the £$%$£ can't folk give their kids a middle name???
