soz, forgot to put it was in Warrington Lancashire, I have done some looking into the BMD records and also asking some family but due to the Welsby - Whelan rift and the fact my dad can't remember anyone from the Welsby side (apart from his dad) as he was too young when he was taken on by his grandmother.

I have been told that even in the Warrington area Welsby is not that common a name.

Freewheel - that must be my grandparents wedding - my dad was born jan 1931.
It would be nice if I could find out about my great grandperent and any great uncles and ants I might of had

where did all this happen?

I have little info of this family - due to a religous family split -

Thomas Welsby : born 1907 married Catherine Whelan(known as Kitty) - my grandparents - they had 3 children : my dad, my uncle and Teresa (died at birth) - Kitty also died in child birth with her daughter. - so my dad & uncle were raised by Kitty's mother.
Thomas had 2 brothers(that I know of) - Joseph & Harry, any other siblings I don't know of.
