Ingersoll is 25 km ENE of London - another 25km ENE and you're in Brant Co (note spelling). Brantford is in Brant Co.

Yes the Fordhams are all brothers and the Short would be a cousin. The parents are definitely Ellen Webb and Thomas Fordham.
