Find Ancestors

The 1851 census has William's father John as a groom. I am unable to locate him on any other census.

OK,finally got marriage cert. Same details for my William Woodcock but father is a John Woodcock,Engine Driver.
Wife of William is Eliza Reynolds,her father is John Reynolds,Gardener.

Married at St Jude's,Birmingham on the 12th October 1868.

So I don't know what to do now,can't find anyone else who is close.
I suppose I am wrong with my details,these could be mine.
Suggestions???

Still waiting for marriage cert,stuck in snow no doubt.Will let you all know if the postman ever gets up my mountain track.

Have checked back from my great granddad Henry Woodcock-1880 and have finally sent off for a marriage cert for his parents William Woodcock and Eliza Reynolds.
Hopefully this will confirm their parents,it has been a nightmare looking for them,but they are definately Henry's parents,managed to check with my late father before he died.
Their marriage was at St Jude,Birmingham 12 Oct 1868,6d 85.
Will let you all know next week when the cert arrives.

How did you arrive at Noah and Diana as parents of William?

Do you have William's birth certificate?

If so then this will confirm that the marriage Mike found is the right one.

According to Judith's tree, William's parents were Noah and Diana.

You need to get the marriage certificate to see which family to follow

I assume they married but who knows.

If you have used a thread with a surname in the title it'll transfer accross, i always look first at that box now before i do anything.

Lets hope they get this fixed pronto..... i did think that's what has happened!

William Woodcock,born 1848 in Birmingham and married Elizabeth Phillips,born 1847 in Penkridge in Staffs.
They were the parents of my great grandfather,Henry Woodcock,born 1880 in Birmingham.
