This could be James in the 1861 census (I haven't copied all the names as there are loads but he is in Barracks. I can't read the Regiment but he's a private in the 2nd Battalion of ???? Guards):- |

That brilliant. Any 1861 census? James had enlited in the army by then. Wondered if the parents were still alive? Are the Corbets in the 1841 or census? What is a Cooper? |
