Rose - sorry, David Henry Robinson was my gt grandfather

as regards to 1858, I have no idea where I have got that info from. I have checked my notes and can't find anything for 1858, must have been having a senior moment.

Because I was looking for her birth around 1858, I came up with the one in Dudley (good job I didn't order the certificate!)

but I still cannot find her family in 1861 and 1871. All I know is that her father is called Zachariah and that she was a 24 year old widow when she married my gt grandfather David. So I am stuck

If she married David Henry Robinson in 1887 she is listed as being born in Wolverhampton c1863/1864 in 1891, 1901 and 1911. Where does c1858 come from?

I have been trying to find my gt grandmother on the 1861 and 1871 census' and cannot find her. Could you nice GR members help me please?

Sarah Jane Thompson was born C1858
She married in 1881 to George Carter in Wolverhampton

She then married my gt grandfather in 1887 again in Wolverhampton. I have the copy of this marriage certificate which states her father was Zacariah Thompson.

I cannot find either of them on the 1861 and 1871 census.

I have found a birth reference for a Sarah Jane Thompson in 1856 Dec 1/4 Dudley, Staffs Vol 6c Page 53 so I would have thought in 1861 and 1871 she would be in staffordshire somewhere.

What can I do to find this family?
