starr1 The details of Elsie M. Browning is deffently the right one but not sure about the 1901 cencers because i dont think he was born Birmingham my mum is sure there is scotish connections, but then he could still be born in england with scotish ancesters. The marrage to Alice Hannington might be his 1st marrage but that would make him only 16 when he got married so he could have been born before 1900. Not knowing much about him makes it difficult to find him. Thanks again.

Well this looks like him and his name was William J. my mum wasent sure. Id be most greatfull if anyone can find out anything more about him ie:- date of birth, brother and sisters and parents etc... Thanks to those who have answered allready.

Im trying to find a Thompson, possibly 1st name William but not sure b. about 1900. He was my mothers father but she isnt sure wether he married her motheror not, all we know is that with his 1st wife, name not known he had 3 sons, Harry, Fred and Jack and possibly a daughter, then with my grandmother, Elsie Browning one daughter my mother, June, born 23rd June 1929 in Islington, London. I cant find out anything about him as my mother never knew him as she was brought up by her mothers mother. I have been looking for years for anything about yet find nothing. Please help. Julie
