	There was another marriage in Sheffeild for John w thompson. 1906 O/N/D 9c 762 to Thirza Baker born 1884 in Ecclesfield 1911 census. John W Shear forger born 1884 Sheffield. Thirza John W 1907. Dorothy Dawson Baker 1906 adopted daughter. I thought thirza may have died and john W then married ada but i can't find a death for a Thirza Thompson in Sheffield as yet. Maryb 1901 John William Thompson born 1884 Shear Striker at grandma Ellen thompson born Wentworth. Looks as though he could have been married before.What do you think Brian.

	1891 John W thompson Sheffield 1884. Ellen thompson 1834 wentworth. Harry a widow born 1862. A Harry married ann Nicholson J/F/M 1883 sheffield. 1881 Ellen 1833. Harry 1862 Fred 1865 he married Susannah Wright had alice 1892. 1861 William 1832 and Elen born Wentworth so same family her maiden name was Groves. They had Martha 1856. Joseph W 1854 Harry 1862. Fred 1865 all in Sheffeild. I think this is ada butterfield as there was only one born 1889/90 in Sheffield. Parents Tom 1860 born billingey or Darfeild mum Martha born Rotherham 1860 Ada had a brother John W Butterfield. 1911 Ada with parents at 205,Skipton Road Sheffield. Maryb

Member Since: June 2005 Posts: 7 Send Message	I'm trying to find ancestors of a John W Thompson, born in Sheffield, Yorkshire. He married Ada Butterfield in 1914 in Sheffield and they had 2 children, Muriel b1918 and John Raymond b1926. She was born 1889. Due to the number of Thompsons in Sheffield it's difficult to trace the right one. I could order his marriage cert. to find his fathers name but thought I'd try here first.
