Walter Smith was my G.Grandfather - he is on the 1861 England census, but I can't find anything else about him until he was married in Adelaide South Australia in 1881. He was born in 1852 Hardham Sussex, parents were Charles and Maria (nee Dearling). Hoping someone can help please. Pam

Why not add Australia to your title. This should attract people in Australia, who may have access to records and possibly be able to help you.
