While I agree that all deaths have to be listed, over the years I have spent a wee fortune on Scotlandspeople and many hours in Register House trying to find the death certificate for my Great Grandfather. I think that he has been "missed" from the indexes. It has been suggested to me that, because his youngest child was born in Ireland, he may have died in Ireland. I can't agree with this as |

Another way may be to find Mary's burial. You could be lucky and find that she is in a family plot - and George may be there too. If this was the case, you would be able to narrow his death to within a couple of days of the burial. |

I also found that death with a wife called martha -the problem is there were 2 George McCallums born Balfron within a year of each other and it was the other I found -maybe your George died outside Scotland |

I have narrowed it down to one possible match! But the george i found did not have the same wife and it was his brother that witnessed the death. The brothers name was John and i dont or have not yet came accross a john in that family. |
