Thanks for that info, as you can see by the census dates her husband is called william, l cant find a marriage. But l have found a marriage for a jeremiah cooper evans. Ive look at 1871 census for jeremiah and lve found him but the 1881 census shows him as william would it be the same man regards michelle

Well, for what it is worth, I think there is a very good chance that Jeremiah Cooper Evans IS William.

Though, why? and how to prove it, I am not yet sure?

You will note that in 1891 when 'Jeremiah is William' married to Charlotte - he has in his household a sister
called Maria b c 1879 - the 1881 shows a sister Maria born around that time in the family which seems to
belong to Jeremiah!

It is strange though that he reverts to Jeremiah for his marriage, and also for his death!

only cert l have is mary's b/c which others do you think l should get michelle

The Jeremiah/Charlotte marriage cert would give you fathers' details, but we already know them !!

There may be witnesses who could prove useful?

I think his death cert may be useful as the informant could help?

To be honest, I really don't know as this is very strange.

If it were my family, I would go for the death cert first.

Do you know if Charlotte died before or after him?
