If no-one else comes forth, I'll have a look at some point - was about to treat myself to a 1911 sub! (Thank goodness for birthdays!!) This is really getting on my wick now.

Just for me, would you ask for someone to check passenger lists for the rest of the family? Just in case they emigrated? Make sure you refer them back here (we don't want to get into even more trouble!), but it does justify a new thread.

In any case, it would really help to find Frank just to see if he is a widower or not.

Hi Janet,

Thank you once again for all you help unfortunately, i was not able to look at the 1911 census, just find it so sad as to why frank was put into a orphanage at such a young age, but thank you lovely lady for all your help once again

Losing the plot now:

Births Mar 1862
BARTLETT Louisa Jane Westbury 5a 139

This more likely to be yours though I guess:

Births Jun 1870
Bartlett Louisa Cirencester 6a 346

A long shot to beat all long shots - she is Arthur's wife tho, must surely be just a co-incidence!! , but this Louisa born Wiltshire:

STONE LOUISSA JANE F 1867 44 Sheppey Kent
STONE ARTHUR M 1872 39 Sheppey Kent
STONE HILDA MAY F 1900 11 Sheppey Kent

(not sure of relationship of Hilda May)

Jan (going a bit nuts now - where are they??!!)

I understand what you mean. She either died or - perish the thought - Frank senior did and she couldn't support the family. Or they up and left him, a terrible idea but not unheard of. The rest of them seem to have disappeared too though. Would I be right in thinking you have looked at Frank 1911 and there are no other family members there? I suppose even Richard might be too old for an orphanage back then though.

Hi Jan, Thank you for being more understanding, my point entirely is that different people may be able to help on other occasions, but thank you for that, unfortunatel yI cannot find her at all after 1901 census, the reason as to why i think she may have died was because her son frank stone was put into a orphanage around 1901?

You must have seen this, but it's very dodgy - a bit old plus she was still alive on 1901 census:

Deaths Mar 1901
Stone Louisa 39 Cardiff 11a 234

In passing, have you found any of the others in 1911, because I can't? They couldn't have done something dreadful like emigrate could they?

Please don't take offence - the reason people highlight other threads is that unless this is done a lot of time can be spent by people duplicating research.

I can understand why people need to ask again though, as sometimes a different person might see their query and reply. I suppose the best thing might be to re-direct people to the original, or maybe alter the heading on it to read "please look again" or something!

Anyway, to change the subject, assume you have looked in 1911? I can't see her so you may be right about the death. Can't see that either though!

Ladies, please can I say to you that everyone using this site is not fully aware of how to re submit information, obviously also they are not getting the right information that they are searching for, so therefore that is why they are asking for more information, so please don,t be so forth coming of highlighting previous threads, please be a bit more considerate.
