Hi there,
These people are my great grandparents from my mothers side: Not sure of her maiden name??
He is Joseph Douglas Page c.1900 borm in or around west midlands.
She is Sarah Grace Page born 28.12.1900 also west midlands area.
If anyone can get any kind of information to let me go further I would be very grateful.

You need to buy the marriage certificate to get their fathers' names and occupation to be sure of them on census records.

In that 1891 census Joseph's occupation is "Navy". Both his and Mary Jane's birth place is recorded as N.K. - Not known??

I posted a possible 1901 census for Sarah last night before you asked about the census records.

You say that she was definately Sarah Grace - well there are no Sarah Grace births coming up on Freebmd or ancestry to fit the date that you have given. It was not uncommon for people to "adopt" a middle name after the birth had been registered.

In those days, as is the case today, many people with middle names neither use the middle name nor even the initial even on official documents. It is a bonus if you find an ancestor on a census return giving their full name.
