You really need to get her birth certificate


.... that is the only way to be sure that you have her mother correct.



You say Sarah died in 1881 ..................... but Jane is on the 1881 Census with Hugh, with several quite young children .......... so perhaps you ahve your dates wrong??

Sarah would have been 62/63 if the mother of Miranda

Miranda Hughline Juliette St Clair McLeod born 1881 in Cambridgeshire. Her father was Hugh McLeod born 1822 in Scotland but who was her mother, Sarah Buckley born 1818 in Oakham, Lanchashire or Jane Ann Crawford Butterwick born 1849 in London. Both were Hugh's wives. Sarah died in 1881, could she have died in childbirth or was Hughs second wife Jane her mother.
