Hi Mel
I saw them and think you are right with the lodgers May being Sarahs parents. They are the right age but just wish I could get another source to confirm . Its going to have to be a childs birth cert to make sure I think .
many thanks Hazel

For ref the 1851 census has two lodgers by the name of Mays. I think these could be Sarah's parents as they would be about the right age.

Hazel

Hazel Report 15 Nov 2009 11:26

It is the same John isnt it apart from the Koneybunn/Honeybunn error on Ancestry.
I hadnt thought about the rounding down so thanks Christine for that and will set his age at about 1796. Good point .
Im going to have to get the oldest childs birth cert to get that Mothers name arent I .
Lots of thanks to you all

This is the Ancestry 1851, can't be his father as just 5 years difference in age. Ages in 1841 were rounded down, so must be the same John.

Ancestry has them as Koneybunn in 1851, birth year 1796 and he looks as if widowed to me.

hi all
Ive a John Honeybunn born 1801 at Navestock married to a Sarah ? he shows on the 1851 census as widowed I think but that census has a huge mark over just where I want to see.
Has anyone access to Essex records or point me in the right direction to find that marriage etc.
Any help would be great so thankyou in advance
