Married or Passed? that is the question. Katherine's parents were John Jones and Mary nee Williams. In the 1841 Wales Census it states that John 55, Mary 50, Lewis 20, Evan 12, Mary 9, Ann 6 and Sarah 3. The other siblings of Katherine were David, John, William, Nellie, Thomas who had left the home.

Need to find out if Katherine or Catherine died young or married and had her own family. Family notes say she was buried in Wales. (Nothing else was mentioned about Katherine).

My previous threads are on the Jones family, with other details, I've only given you details on Katherine.

I'm at a loss to find anything on Katherine, I wonder if any of your Experts may be able to help?

I suggest this Catherine only because the birth year is about the same, and the birth place is the same.


I cannot find a marriage of a Catherine Jones to a xxxx Williams


although I did find the marriage of a Samuel Williams to a Catherine Price in 1840 ....... which could be feasible IF it was a second marriage for Catherine.



Anyway

Thanks Sylvia in Canada. I had no idea that you weren't employed by GR. Maybe I should do some more reading, find it hard with two little ones.

With regards to Catherine the clues to link back to famil would be where her parents were from? As in the Parish? I'll have to find where Llandefeilog is and see if it's near Abergwili or Llanllawddog (which is where Catherine's parents are buried). The farm that Catherine was born on was Derlwyn Farm if that makes any difference?

I'll have a look around for a Catherine Price too. Thanks for the headsup.
