As the Griffin family, together with Emma Crawford and son Edward, were living in the Paddington district in 1891 I suspect this is Sidney's birth registration

Ginny - this is a new way to go for me and not sure how to persue it. The family was known as Griffin as far as I know. His marriage cert says that his last name was Griffin. But as you know people keep changing things around for appearance sake.

Just checked out births for the other children and there are matches for all of them under the name 'Crump'

Interestingly, there is a birth of George Crump, right area and year.

Presumably husband Edward Crump dies ...

If you go back to the 1891 census, there is Emma Crawford and son Edward as lodgers. Emma Crawford was Emma Crump!!!!

Many thanks to you all for the replies. No I haven't asked about this birth certificate here, perhaps somebody else has. According to my family, Sidney did not have a middle name. And yes I have his mariage cert, he married Fanny Heath in Dec of 1915 in Walthamstow. According to the family, Sidney was the youngest of Emma, Daisy, Nell, Maude, Forrie, Ted and George. And also Emma and George Griffin never married. I think that this is the family in 1891

How do you know the exact DOB? Which document gives you that information?

Did Sidney marry? If so, when - and to whom? And do you have the cert?

Theres also no birth record for Emma Krump

Lynn where have you got Sidney's date of birth from and Emma's name?

There are lots of 'curley' Crumps but no 'kicking' Krumps!!
