Edmund Betts born 1860 in Nottingham is with his parents on 1881 census.He marries in 1882
In 1891 his wife Maria Betts is in Bedminster in Bristol with her first 2 children at 2 Clarence Square with her as head.
Can anyone help/suggest where Edmund(Edward) Betts is ?

Not even found Edmund in 1881 - there are two in 1871 census

Just know the addy was 2 clarence square bedminster..........think thats actually Bristol.

Do you have the marriage cert?

The only marriage is in 1885 in Gainsborough district - and there's an Edmund Betts born in Gainsborough in 1858, who would seem much more likely to be the one who married there

She was actually Anne Maria Green born in Belper Derbyshire
She married Edmund(Edward) Betts in 1882
In 1881 census he is with parents at 17 woburn st, nottingham

Thank you the 1901 census seems to be the right family and they are back in Nottingham. All the children names are correct
He seems to switch beteween Edward/Edmund
She seems to use Annie,Anne Maria/Maria

They married at St Matthias church in Nottingham - again info from a relative so I can't confirm with actual cert.

Its just ttracing him for 1891 census that is proving difficult
