yes Carrie and Clara were sisters along with a Violet and a Gertrude.
Loads of brothers too, very prolofic family.
Carrie moved to Hull eventually, Clara to Denaby, Gertrude married and stayed in the area. Clara had a daughter and called her Carrie, and Carrie the elder had a daughter and called her Clara( such imagination.)
I then find that Clara according to the 1911 census has a daughter named Violet. What a tangled web they wove.
Thanks for any help Its been a bit of a discovery day.

Alfred and Violet were born before Clara married and until recently we only had hearsay over Violet. We have look up on 1911 census and found her living with mom and Violet was 15yrs old. So she must have been some where in 1901 unless they missed her off the 1901 or she was staying with gran in 1901!!

Gee

Gee Report 28 Oct 2009 11:55

Do you have any other info on her such as why she was not living with her mom?

Thank you but I do not think this is the correct one as she is Violet with no other initial. There was a Violet M born the next year in Sheffield (as found both on FBMD, but mine was b 1895 Dec qtr.
