Hi Barbara.

Thats really good thank you, i can rule Clara out as she was wood, i can rule the lady called Reid at same address as Francis in 1901.

So why was Albert Howard ,Francis Donley's sister in law in 1901 well if Francis had a sister that married Alberts brother or if Francis had a brother who married a sister of Albert Howard.

I can't find any information on Francis Having a brother or sister. and i cant even find her mum and dad.

A big mystery!

Thank you for helping me rule out Clara Howard nee wood.

Regards Simon.

I have found the birth of my GGGmother Francis Donley in Sheffield 1886.
In 1901 she was living in the house of Albert Ernest Howard and show as sister in Law but it does not show a sister just some lodgers. this means she had a sister but i can't find the sister, mother or father and may be even more siblings.

I also have found her marrage to John Rochford in 1905 then nothing, so i know of her birth and marrage but nothing before living in 1901 and nothing after her marrage in 1905.

Any ideas would be great, lots of people helped me find the above info and they have been fantastic.but i just can't find more about Francis Donley.

Thank you Simon

New message to Dea

From Simon

Hi Dea, I note Francis is spelt with e but it's Donley not Donelly

Any thoughts

..................

my reply:

Things were often spelled incorrectly - not everyone was 'literate' in those days and things were written down as spoken.

I still think this is most probably the correct marriage, unless you know otherwise?

Can you reply on the thread rather than pm so that other people trying to help can also see the info. - It is also easier for you as you don't have to send out so many seperate replies.

To do this, click on the purple 'reply' button at the top of your thread and type the new info in the box then click submit.

I will post your info on there to help the others searching.

Best regards,
